Využíváte ve své síti zařízení NAS od společnosti NETGEAR (ReadyNAS řady: Pro Pioneer, Pro Business a NVX)?

Pokud ano, pak zde naleznete vždy čerstvé firmwary, které vaše diskové pole řídí!

Nejnovější verze nese označení 4.2.7.,který jsem otestoval a bohužel musím protentokrát všechny uživatele varovat, aby zůstali na verzi 4.2.5., protože se v nejnovější verzi objevily chyby, které nejsou žádoucí

Pokud už náhodou novou verzi máte nainstalovanou, nezoufejte, ikdyž se všeobecně píše, že nelze uskutečnit downgrade, tak to udělat lze.

Známé chyby verze 4.2.7.:
- nahrajete soubor do share složky a zjistíte, že nelze zkopírovat zpět z NASky ani nelze spustit
- snížila se rychlost přenosu dat
- další chyby uživatelů najdete tady

Doporučuji tedy stále využívat firmware s označením 4.2.5., který je vyšperkovaný k dokonalosti.

Tak a máme tady novou verzi 4.2.8. :!:

Neotestoval jsem ještě tento nový FW v ostrém provozu, ale předpokládám, že opravuje chyby z minulé verze, kdy docházelo k několika chybám v přístupu do adresářů apod..., takže nyní by mělo být vše ok.

Nicméně ještě počkám na reakce zahraničních "testerů" a pak sem dám své vlastní postřehy...

Added support for archiving TiVo videos to the ReadyNAS, allowing you to also playback these videos from any TiVo in your home. The option resides in the Streaming Services page in the ReadyDLNA option. Enabling TiVo option there will reveal options to activate archiving from discovered TiVo devices on your network and setting archive schedule. You will need the Media Access Key (MAK) from your TiVo to perform the activation. Any recording marked as “don’t erase” on the TiVo will be archived to the ReadyNAS.

Properly handle FTP access to home share snapshots.
Fixed several issues with auto power on and power off.

Disk expansion alerts with vertical expansion has been cleaned up, especially if you’ve done multiple vertical expansion.

Download from each TiVo box concurrently.
Don’t use the date/time in the absense of an episode title if the show is not part of a series.
Handle TiVos with a large number of recordings (>128).
In a case with multiple TiVos with some done and some still archiving, make sure the idle TiVos don’t miss the next archive interval.
If you have two different shows with exactly the same show name, episode number, and episode title, use a different filename for archival instead of overwriting the existing one.
Localize timestamps, so you see the local time of a recording, instead of GMT.
Skip non-TiVos (TiVo Desktop) during the discovery process.
Request at most 50 items at a time like TiVo Desktop, to prevent certain TiVos from freaking out and rebooting.

Add flag file support for basic database dump/prune. This will allow people to tell ReadyDLNA to re-archive specified shows in the rare cases where this is needed.

Disable default guest access to USB share over AFP. User login required for USB share access unless guest access is explicitly allowed via FrontView by admin. This change takes affect only for factory defaulted systems. Update systems will require admin to manually disable guest access for AFP.
Various patches to ReadyTiVO functionality:
With some DNS servers, MDNS queries can take 15 seconds to return with a name resolution failure status. Our TiVo connection timeout is currently 5 seconds, so ReadyTiVo can never authenticate in these environments.
If a user has an episodic show with no episode title marked for archival, the archival process for that TiVo will stop there.
In environments with multiple TiVos, there is a race condition which causes the database to appear corrupt, and no recordings will be archived until ReadyTiVo is restarted.
Fixed issue where disks on 3200/4200 may be subjected to hang in some race conditions.

Limitations:

Volume expansion will not work beyond 16 TB. To support 16 TB or greater, you’ll have to factory default with that capacity in place.
Snapshot resizing is disabled in the release. We will re-enable this feature in a future update.
If you have previously configured an SNMP monitored UPS and attach a local USB UPS, the USB UPS will be monitored by the ReadyNAS. To switch back to SNMP monitoring, disconnect the USB UPS and then re-enter the IP address of the SNMP monitored UPS device.
